1. I do recall this question from another discussion; I believe the OA is not given as E, although
E seems to be the best answer.
A and B are eliminated on the basis of subject-verb agreement.
C is non-parallel: 'allows for it' is not parallel to 'and that'
In D, 'allows that' is not the best idiomatic _expression_.
That leaves only E, which, although not perfect, is really the best choice.
2. In this one too,
E is the best answer.
A, B, and C use the incorrect idiom ' equally likely...as'
D uses 'drivers will be as likely that they...', which is idiomatically incorrect.
That leaves E as the best choice.
